Northlake Steel Corporation started in 1977 as a 10,000 square foot facility in Mentor, Ohio with a handful of machines and operators, producing turned, ground, and polished steel shafting.  In 1979, we relocated to a 45,000 square foot facility in Valley View, Ohio.  To complement the existing services already offered, we added additional centerless turning and induction hardening capabilities.  We moved into our current facility in Valley City in 1995.  At that time, we installed a cold drawing line to produce cold drawn bars up to 6” round.  In 2013, we expanded our Valley City facility to improve manufacturing efficiencies and allow us to install additional equipment.  We currently have over 150,000 square feet of production and inventory space.

FEATURED PRODUCT: COLD DRAWN STEEL BARS

Northlake has two of the largest cold draw benches in North America, capable of producing cold drawn (or also referred to as cold finished) bars to 6” diameter rounds, in lengths up to 40’.  We also produce cold drawn shapes up to 4” x 6” Flat, 4” Square and 4” Hex.  All bars produced to ASTM A108 are saw cut on both ends, promising good usable steel from end to end.  Common grades are 1018, 1045, 1117, 1141, 1144, 12L14, 1215, 8620 and more.
